Otago Swim Coaching Academy Incorporated (OSCA) was formed in March 2006 to provide professional coaching for swimmers. OSCA is dedicated to the development of swimmers to compete at national and international levels.

Swimmers joining an OSCA Squad maintain their current club affiliation and represent their Clubs at all swim meets. OSCA is not a swim club, it is a coaching academy.

OSCA squads train daily at Moana Pool. OSCA has 4 squads targeted at various swimming levels.

A Squad
B Squad
C Squad
Surf and Triathlon Squad

OSCA’s coaching team is led by a superbly qualified international swimming coach Mr Gennadiy Labara who moved to Dunedin for lifestyle reasons and the opportunity to coach swimmers with the ability and desire to compete at the highest national and international level.

The development of OSCA was highlighted at the National Age Groups Championships in March 2009. OSCA Swimmers won 17 individual medals. Seven of those medals were national titles.

In the 3 years since OSCA was formed swimmers had broken over 100 Otago records.
